Why should I register ?
In order to fully utilise the abilities of this website, the administrator will require that you register as a member. Registration is free, and allows you to do the following:
Post news
Reply to other peoples news
Access the discussion forum
Receive email notification of replies to posts you specify in the forum
Send private messages to other members
Enter and read the calendar events
Access the Art Gallery
To register, you will need to specify a username, your real name and your email address. Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as you can choose to hide your email address. To receive your registration password, you must make sure that the address you provide is yours and valid.
If you are under the age of 13, the administrator may require that a parent or guardian provides consent before allowing you to complete the registration process.
Does this website use cookies ?
Yes. The use of cookies is used for the website to remember who you are. You don't have to log out every time you leave the site. If you don't, the site will remember who you are and welcome you under your registered name. The forum also uses cookies to identify you as a valid user to allow you to post.
If you use a shared computer, such as in a library, school or internet cafe, or if you have reason to not trust any other users that might use this computer, we recomend that you log out.
How do I clear my cookies ?
Here are the instructions for Internet Explorer 5 on Windows:
- Close all Internet Explorer windows.
- Click the "Start" button.
- Move upto "Find" and click "Files or Folders" from the menu that appears.
- In the new window that appears, in the "containing text" field, type in the domain name of the board without the "http://" or "www." part. For example, if the board's address was "http://www.keopsonline.com/portal/index.php", I would type in "keopsonline.com" (without the quotes)
- In the "look in" box, type in "C:WindowsCookies" (without the quotes) and press "Find Now"
- After it has finished searching, highlight all files (click a file, then press CRTL+A) and delete them (press the "delete" key or SHIFT+DEL)
Your cookies should now be removed. You may want to restart the computer and revisit the board to be sure.
How can I change the information in my profile ?
It is your resposibility to keep the information in your profile up-to-date. You should especially ensure that your email address is kept current. You can alter any of the fields in your profile, except your username. Once you have registered your username, it becomes yours for life. In extreme circumstances, you may request that the administrator change your username, but he will require a very good reason to do so.

What is the signature for?
After you have registered, you may set your signature. This is a piece of text that you would like to be inserted at the end of all your posts, a little like having headed note paper.
If the administrator has enabled signatures, then you will have the option to include your signature on the posts you make.

I lost my password, what can I do ?
If you forget your password, you can click 'Log in' link. Look way down on the page and there is a form you enter your email in. This will give you (provided
you entered your real email address) a verification code. Enter the same page and use that code in the field that requires it and a new password will be generated and emailed to you. This procedure is to make sure no one can steal your password. Even the webmaster can't find your password since it's encrypted in the database.
How do I change theme ?
There is a link in the top of the page called "Edit profile". When you click on this link it takes your personal page where there is an option called 'Select Theme'. This provides a drop-down menu with all available themes. After you've chosen one, click on 'Save changes' and you're set. The website changes according to the settings in the theme. It may look as you're on a different website.
What if I would want my acount here deleted ? How can this be done ?

Aucune crainte à avoir car nous adhérons à la charte de la vie privée; vous êtes libres d'afficher ou non vos données, comme votre e-mail, aux autres membres. De plus, votre enregistrement vous permet :
- d'obtenir une boîte à message pour que les autres membres puissent vous rejoindre, sans avoir à dévoiler votre e-mail,
- de connaître en temps réel quels sont les membres en lignes,
- et ainsi de pouvoir leur envoyer un Message Instantané,
- de leur laisser un message lorsqu'ils sont absents.
- de définir son menu personnel et ses préférences,

How to change my Password ?
Hate having to remember that weird password we sent you? Did you know that you can change it? For that matter you can change just about everything on your account. All you have to do is choose "Edit Profile" from the menu over there on the top of the page! Once your there you can do all kinds of things. If you know a little HTML you can even add your own custom menu to save on our site! Now that's pretty cool! And hey, if you don't know HTML, or you want us to add the menu for you, just give us the URL's and we will be happy to help.
